The Soldotna City Council will discuss the appointment of a second vice mayor to the council.
Soldotna Mayor Nels Anderson said he would appoint the second vice mayor position to someone on the council.
Mayor Anderson: “Basically a council member to take the position and run the meetings if the normal person isn’t there.”
The council will also adopt the FY15 budget during this meeting which Anderson said went smoothly due to the good team they have working on it.
Mayor Anderson: “The past few managers, both Larry Simmons and Mark Dixson have done a good job in terms of getting things organized and giving the department heads a responsibility and making them do the fiscally responsible as well as other responsible for what they’re doing and most of the time it works out pretty well.”
