Modifying the current COVID-19 protocols for the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex is scheduled to be addressed at the January Soldotna City Council board meeting on Wednesday, January 13th.
Councilman Justin Ruffridge has pre-submitted Resolution 2021-001-Updating the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex COVID-19 Protocols for discussion and action by the Soldotna City Council.
The Resolution includes a revision to the mask policy currently in place at the SRSC.
Section 1. Masks: All persons entering the building are required to wear masks at all times,
except athletes when they are on the ice. Coaches and officials must wear masks
at all times, even when on the ice.
Adoption would allow skaters to play without masks while on the ice.
The Resolution also includes a revision to the current game policy at the SRSC.
Section 2. Games and Scrimmages: For Youth Hockey, High School and Rusty Blades is
allowed.
The Resolution also includes a mandate for spectator capacity at the SRSC.
Section 6. Spectators: Only 80 spectators shall be allowed in the building during any ice
event.
