Soldotna Council to Appoint One of Three Candidates to Seat B

The Soldotna City Council will interview and appoint one of three candidates who have filed to fill Councilwoman Meggean Bos-Marquez’s Seat B vacancy, after she resigned in April.

Cm. Marquez: “My husband has taken a job out of state so we will be moving and so June will be my last month on council.”

The three candidates who applied for Marquez’s seat are Daniel Nelson, James Bennett, and Steven Manley.

During tomorrow’s meeting, City Council members will interview each of the candidates, closing the interview process with a council vote.

Whichever candidate is appointed to Soldotna City Council’s Seat B will serve until the next regular election, when the sport will be up for election by Soldotna voters.
