Soldotna Council to Hold Golf Course Work Session Before Meeting

The Soldotna City Council will hold a work session in regards to the possible purchase of the Birch Ridge Golf Course land and water rights (Wednesday) April 23.

 

City Clerk Shellie Saner detailed the work session.

Saner: “The work session starts at 4:30 pm and its an environment where the council and members of the public can have a very open and free discussion about the acquisition of the golf course.” 

 

The work session precedes the regular Soldotna City Council meeting, where Saner said there will be a resolution to negotiate the purchase.

Saner: “There is a resolution on the agenda later that will direct the City Manager to negotiate that will be an item for them to make a decision on during the meeting.” 

 

She added that the final sale and lease agreements would be the step after negotiations and subject to approval by the council.

 

Also on the agenda, the introduction of a resolution to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract for the Binkley Street Road Rehabilitation Project for nearly $3.5 million.
