Soldotna DUI Arrest Turns Into Arrest For Weapon Misconduct, Terroristic Threats

The Alaska State Troopers K-9 Team out of Soldotna responded to assist another trooper during a DUI arrest on Thursday morning, a little after 3:00 a.m. Before the situation came to a close, a passenger also faced charges of terroristic threatening, misconduct involving weapons, and disorderly conduct.

 

According to online Trooper Dispatch, a REDDI call was made after a car had been seen hitting several objects at the commercial Pacific Star boat launch. As a result of the initial inveestigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

 

The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Anatoly Martushev was also reported to be intoxicated. He threatened the person who made the original REDDI call to Troopers. Anatoly was given a warning for Disorderly Conduct, and with the assistance of friends, he was returned to his boat.

 

The situation became more heated on the boat. According to Troopers, Anatoly proceeded to broadcast verbal threats to the same person via VHF radio, and was then located by Troopers on the boat named ‘Devotion.’

 

Anatoly was arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded without bail on the charges of Second Degree Terroristic Threatning, Fourth Degree Misconduct Involving Weapons, as well as Disorderly Conduct.
