On Friday Governor Sean Parnell announced a slew of appointments including a Soldotna man to the State Medical Board.
Craig Humphreys was appointed to the board which is responsible for the licensing, regulation, and discipline of allopathic and osteopathis physicians podiatrists, physician assistants, and mobile intensive care paramedics for Alaska.
Humphreys is owner and spine surgeon of Kenai Spine and has worked as an orthopedic spine surgeon for the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopedics as well as chief of orthopedics at Memorial Hospital.
He was appointed to a physician seat.
