Last Thursday, October 16, a Soldotna man was arrested for kidnapping and three counts of assault.
Around 12:45 in the afternoon, Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded to a residence off of the Kenai Spur Highway after a report of a disturbance near Soldotna.
Investigation revealed that 47 year-old Charles Brady of Soldotna had assaulted a female at that location. Brady had taken her phone, not allowed her to contact law enforcement, and would not allow her to leave.
Brady’s assault had caused the woman serious physical injury and she was transported by CES to the Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment.
Before Alaska State Troopers arrived that afternoon Brady had left the residence and could not initially be located however with the help of the Soldotna Police Department Brady was located around 2:30 pm at a residence in Soldotna.
Troopers arrested Brady and transported and remanded him to Wildwood Pretrial Facility without bail. He was charged with Kidnapping, Assault II x 2, Assault IV, and Interfering with a report of a DV crime.
