The City of Soldotna awarded a contract with Kendall Ford in Wasilla for $55,000 for the purchase of two new Soldotna Police vehicles.

 

The funds were appropriated in the fiscal year 2014 operating budget and will be used to purchase two 2015 Ford Explorer police vehicles

 

The bid was put out to Alaskan businesses and utilized the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities State Equipment Fleet website in order to ensure competitive, accurate and current vehicle pricing.

 

The quote which best matched the requirement was from Kendall Ford of Wasilla.

 

That resolution to approve the contract with Kendall Ford of Wasilla was approved at the August 13 Soldotna City Council meeting.
