Soldotna Woman Struck By CES Vehicle, Listed In Serious Condition

Soldotna Alaska State Troopers report that a motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian happened on Gaswell Road in Soldotna. This happened on Thursday, November 11th at 9:21 p.m., according to the online Alaska State Trooper dispatch.

 

An investigation revealed that a Central Emergency Services fire vehicle reportedly struck 72-year-old Judy Martin of Soldotna as she walked in the middle of the traffic lane dressed in dark clothing. Martin was struck as she walked in front of the fire vehicle, which could not avoid striking her.

 

Martin was transported by ambulance to the Central Peninsula Hospital in serious condition.

 

Gaswell Road between Kalifornsky Beach Road and Winston Circle was closed to traffic for 45 minutes during the investigation. An investigation by Alaska State Troopers is ongoing.
