The South Anchorage Wolverines defeated the Service High Cougars on Friday night in the 2019 ASAA Alaska First National Bowl Division I Football Championship, downing the Cougars 27-13 at the Anchorage Football Stadium.

South earns the Division I football title on the strength of their defense which generated three interceptions and turned-away Service on downs four times, twice in the red zone.  South lead 21-0 at the half and traded second-half touchdowns for the 27-13 final score and the fourth , state football championship for South Anchorage High.  The Wolverines finish the 2019 season with a 7-4 overall record including a playoff victory over West–and a loss to Soldotna High School.

Or, the best of all indicators–Head to Head!
