The Southcentral Conference Baseball Championships open play on Thursday hosted by Redington High School and Houston High School featuring nine teams vying for a conference championship and for berths to the ASAA Division II Baseball State Tournament.
The Southcentral Conference standings determine the tournament bracket. Wasilla earned the #1 seed with an undefeated conference record of 8-0. The Soldotna Stars completed conference play at 4-4 and the Kenai boys at 1-7.
