Allan Spangler of Anchorage posted the fastest time of the day in the men’s marathon completing the 26.2 mile course in 2 hours, 36 minutes and 42 seconds; nearly nine minutes faster than the second place finisher. SoHi graduate Bill Keller finished fourth overall and Kenai resident Jeffery McDonald finished fifth.
In the women’s marathon, Jamie Bronga of Anchorage topped the field with a time of 3:17.21. Michelle Mitchell from Moscow, Russia finished second.
The men’s half marathon was won by Homer’s Pedro Ochoa in 1:17.48; Kenai’s Ken Felchle finished third overall. Lance Chilton, 13-year-old Skyview Middle School student, finished 4th overall.
The women’s half marathon title goes to Eagle River’s Stacy Gill in 1:37.40.
The Kids with a Dream relay team posted the fastest relay result with a 3:01.23.
