The final event of Soldotna’s Alaska Startup Week, Spark Soldotna returns with a “Shark Tank” style event and an opportunity for a $4,000 cash prize awarded to a Soldotna new or established entrepreneur.
Spark Soldotna is designed to encourage local businesses and would-be business operators to present new or enhanced business products or ideas with the possibility of advancing to the Shark Tank event.
Shannon Davis, executive director of the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce described the Spark Soldotna event.
“This is a scholarship opportunity for existing businesses or start up businesses to present a new or enhanced business idea to the Soldotan Chamber “Sharks”, who are business leaders in the community. Basically you just fill out a very simple application form that tells what your idea is for enhancing or starting up a new business. If you are selected by our “sharks” for a presentation on November 18th, you could win $4,000. No strings attached. Apply, go present and you could win $4,000.”
Interested applicants must complete the online application no later than November 7th, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Applications will be reviewed by a Soldotna Chamber Task Force made up of community business leaders. Selected applicants must be prepared to present their business idea and/or product in person to the Spark Soldotna Business Scholarship Selection Committee the evening of Friday, November 18th.
One single winner will receive a $4,000 cash prize to help turn their business idea into a reality.
