Allegations of a second incident of indecent exposure involving an underage juvenile are being investigated by Soldotna Police against the Kenaitze cultural liaison at K-Beach Elementary who was originally taken into custody earlier this month.
24-year-old Christopher Adams of Soldotna was arrested on Friday, Feb. 9 for allegedly exposing his genitals to a student in a bathroom at K-Beach Elementary.
K-Beach Elementary School employees first reported a possible inappropriate interaction between Adams and a student at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.
“The school learned about this incident when the student had reported to his teacher the activity that had occurred,” said Soldotna Police Chief Gene Meek regarding the initial incident. “The student reported [the incident], the teacher became alarmed, went to the principal, and then the principal and vice principal contacted law enforcement and that’s where the investigation started.”
SPD Officers responded to the school where they contacted the school administration and Adams. Officers began investigating an accusation that Adams had intentionally provocatively exposed his genitals to a student in the bathroom.
The Soldotna Police Department initiated an extensive investigation into the reported allegations over the following two days.
Once notified of the alleged incident, Kenai Peninsula School District officials immediately relieved Adams of his duties at K-Beach, banned him from all KPBSD school campuses, and removed him from the premises.
Then on Friday morning, Feb 9, Adams came to the Soldotna Police Department for an interview. After officers completed the interview, Adams was placed under arrest for Indecent Exposure in the second degree and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility.
Since Adams was taken into custody, the investigation has now expanded to include a potential second victim.
Whether or not the scope of the SPD investigation will expand to include Adams activities beyond K-Beach Elementary is yet to be determined. “Right now the focus of our investigation is K-Beach, and that investigation is still ongoing,” said Chief Meek.
Charges in the second case against Adams are still pending based on additional information to be obtained by the lead investigating officer.

At this time, charges reported are merely accusations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
