Star Swimmers Record Four Victories At Valley Invitational

The Soldotna boys finished second in the team scoring and the SoHi girls place third overall at the 2016 Valley Swimming Invitational hosted at Palmer High School.  The Kodiak boys and Colony girls claimed the team championships.

 

The Star boys were lead by Cody Watkins with a pair of victories in the freestyle events.  Cody placed first in the 50 Freestyle and first in the 100 Freestyle.  The SoHi boys also recorded a first place in the 200 Medley Relay with Watkins, Jacob Hall, Jacob Creglow and Kylin Welch.

The Star girls recorded a victory in the 200 Medley Relay with Rachel Davidson, Katie Creglow, Portia Padilla and Sydney Juliussen.

Kenai’s Mikaela Pitsch won the 1M Diving event.

SoHi Girls: Portia Padilla, 2nd in 100 Butterfly and 3rd in 200 Freestlyle; Sydney Juliussen, 2nd in 50 Freestyle; Alex Juliussen, 6th in 100 Freestyle and 6th in 50 Freestyle;  Rachel Davidson, 5th in 100 Freestyle and 3rd in 100 Backstroke; Katie Creglow, 5th in 100 Breaststroke

SoHi Boys: Jacob Creglow, 3rd in 100 Butterfly and 2nd in 100 Breaststroke;  Jacob Hall, 3rd in 200 Freestyle and 4th in 500 Freestyle; Kylin Welch, 2nd 1M Diving; Caleb Frederickson, 6th in 200 IM

Kenai Girls: Mikaela Pitsch, 6th in 100 Backstroke

Kenai Boys: Savaii Heaven, 6th in 200 Freestyle and 5th in 100 Backstraoke; Hunter Reese, 6th in 500 Freestyle and 5th in 50 Freeestyle
