The Soldotna Stars finished Northern Lights Conference basketball play with the Palmer Moose taking two from the Stars at Palmer High School on Saturday.
Palmer Girls 56 – SoHi Girls 42
The Star girls fell behind early and never recovered in a 56-42 Northern Lights Conference loss to the Palmer Moose at Palmer on Saturday.
The Moose lead 26-12 at the half and the two teams played evenly, 30 points each, in the second half.
Katelyn Morrison lead the Stars with 14 points and Josie Sheridan added 12 points.
The SoHi girls will be the #5 seed into the NLC tournament scheduled for March 17-19 at Palmer High School.
SoHi Boys 38 – Palmer Boys 67
The Palmer Moose handed the SoHi boys a 10th loss in Northern Lights Conference basketball and the Stars will be the #6 seed into the NLC tournament scheduled for March 17-19 at Palmer High School.
Palmer lead 14-7 after one quarter and owned a 27-18 lead at the half enroute to a 67-38 Moose victory. SoHi’s Maleda Dembrock topped the Stars with 10 points.
Tournament brackets for the NLC Championships will be released following verification of conference records.
