Eight touchdowns on eight-straight drives and a defense which generated five turnovers and the Soldotna Stars football team dominated the Dimond Lynx for the Stars 51st consecutive victory; a 64-6 dismantling of Dimond.

The Soldotna Stars set the tone early, forcing Dimond to punt on the first series; then scoring the game’s first touchdown on a 24-yard run by Brenner Furlong. By halftime, Furlong amassed four touchdowns and nearly 200 rushing yards; 172 rushing yards on just the four touchdown runs (24 yds, 55 yds, 56 yds, 37 yds).
Quarterback Brandon Crowder connected three times with tight end Galen Brantley III for three touchdowns of 23 yds, 5 yds, and 33 yds. An Aaron Faletoi 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and a Cameron Johnson 40-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter closed the scoring.
Touchdown plays alone for SoHi accounted for 274 yards, averaging 30 yards per touchdown play.
Defensively, SoHi recovered a pair of fumbles and intercepted three passes; one by Cody Quelland and a pair for Jersey Truesdall.

The Soldotna Stars, 2-0, will host South Anchorage next Friday at Justin Maile Field at Soldotna High School.
The Stars move to third in the nation for consecutive victories with 51 straight; Kimberly, Wisconsin holds the current streak at 56 games.
