Conference volleyball featured the Soldotna Stars hosting Colony in Northern Lights Conference play and the Nikiski Bulldogs at home against Seward in Southcentral Conference play on Thursday, opening a full, three day volleyball schedule.
SoHi 1 – Colony 3
The Soldotna Stars started strong; however, faded in NLC volleyball against Colony. SoHi lead game one 9-3 before the Knights rallied and won 25-23. SoHi won game two 25-23, the Knights take games three and four 25-21 and 25-23. Each game was a battle to the end with the Knights winning the day, 3-1. SoHi falls to 5-2 in the NLC. Itu Tuisaula topped the Stars with 25 kills, Sierra Kutz recorded 39 assists.
Nikiski 3 – Seward 0
The Bulldogs balanced attack resulted in a three-game sweep of the Seward Seahawks in Southcentral Conference volleyball action at Nikiski. Nikiski won 25-10, 25-22 and 25-17. The Bulldogs improve to 5-1 in conference play. Kaycee Bostic and Tika Zimmerman recorded five kills each and Kaitlyn Johnson added four kills.

Friday, October 18th
SoHi vs Kenai @ SoHi
The Stars will celebrate Senior Night against the Kardinals on Friday at SoHi. The non-conference pairing is scheduled for a 6 p.m. varsity game.
Nikiski vs Colony
The Bulldogs play out-of-division on Friday night hosting the Colony Knights. Varsity game set for 5 p.m.
Saturday, October 19th
SoHi vs Colony @ SoHi
The Stars and Knights meet early Saturday with the varsity game moved to an 11:30 a.m. game time.
Nikiski vs Homer
The Bulldogs close the week with a Southcentral Conference contest against the Homer Mariners. Game time set for 2:00 p.m.
