The Wasilla Warrior girls dominated the Stars and the SoHi boys and Wasilla battled in a shootout on Saturday at Soldotna High School in Northern Lights Conference basketball.
Wasilla Girls 54 – SoHi 19
The Warriors held the SoHi girls scoreless in the first quarter and lead 27-7 at the half in the NLC contest on Saturday at SoHi. Wasilla sisters Layla Hays and Bella Hays scored 22 and 16 points. The Stars Ellie Burns scored seven points in the 54-19 loss.
Wasilla Boys 66 – SoHi 60
The SoHi boys battled the Warriors to the final buzzer after trailing by six after one quarter 17-11. Wasilla lead 37-32 at the half and 52-45 after three quarters. Arthur Adams scored 19 to lead the Warriors; Ethan Sewell topped the Stars scoring with 20 points and Maleda Dembrock added 18 points.
