The 2017 Northern Lights Conference Volleyball Tournament, featuring three days of tournament action, opens on Thursday, November 2nd at Kodiak High School. The double-elimination format will determine an NLC champion and will determine the two automatic qualifiers to the ASAA State Volleyball Championships.
The Soldotna Stars, 6-4 in conference play, earn the #3 seed into the tournament bracket. Kenai, 0-10 in conference play, enter the tournament as the #6 seed.
Colony earns the NLC #1 position with a 9-1 conference record followed by Wasilla (7-3), Palmer and Kodiak.
The Soldotna Stars, as the #3 seed, open play at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday against the #6 seed Kenai Kardinals. The winner advances to play Wasilla at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday on the Kodiak court.; a lose and that team moves to a Friday morning, 11 a.m. contest.
