The high school soccer season for peninsula teams opened on Tuesday with Soldotna High School hosting Homer on the turf at Justin Maile Field.
SoHi Girls 2 – Homer 1
The SoHi girls, on a two goal effort by Abi Tuttle, downed Homer 2-1 in the season opener. Tuttle scored in the second half to tie the game and added a penalty shot goal for the Stars victory.
Homer Boys 2 – SoHi 1
The Stars trailed 2-0 in the second half before Alex Montague scored SoHi’s lone goal; a 2-1 loss for the Stars to Homer.
