Stars Outmatch Kardinals In Dual Wrestling

Author: Coach Dan Gensel |

Head-to-head wrestling in a dual match format featured the Soldotna Stars at Kenai Central on Tuesday for the Kardinals Senior Night.  SoHi dominated with a 69-6 team score; however, the wrestling dual proved that not every event needs to be a tournament format.  Nineteen matches were contested; a throwback to the days of quality school vs school dual matches.  Some wrestlers went to the mat twice in the evening.  Next on the wrestling schedule is the Lancer Smith Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Palmer High School.
