The Soldotna Stars hockey team advanced to Saturday’s championship game at the Big Lake Lions Classic hockey tournament on the strength of two, overtime victories against Wasilla and Palmer.
On Saturday, the Stars offense managed only 21 shots and SoHi was shut-out 5-0 by the Houston Hawks.
Houston scored three first period goals and recorded single goals in the second and third periods for the 5-0 victory. In goal for the Stars, Ayden See recorded 29 saves.

SoHi returns to the road with a conference game at Houston on Thursday and the Stars travel to Palmer on Saturday for a Railbelt Conference contest against the Moose.
