Author: Coach Dan Gensel |

One hundred coaching victories for SoHi head coach Galen Brantley, 52 straight victories for the Soldotna High School football program, and a 3-0 start to the 2017 season with all wins against Division I opponents; the SoHi Stars football program leaves no doubt as to the finest football program in Alaska.

SoHi 52 – South 7

The Soldotna Stars scored two touchdowns on their first three plays from scrimmage and the rout was on as SoHi dominated South 52-7 in non-conference football on Friday at Soldotna High School.

SoHi’s quarterback Brandon Crowder threw three touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown.  Brenner Furlong rushed for touchdowns of 73 and 67 yards and amassed over 250 rushing yards.  Tight end Galen Brantley III caught a pair of touchdown passes, Cody Quelland opened the scoring with a touchdown reception and Aaron Faletoi added a rushing touchdown.  The Stars score 52 points in three quarters, with a defensive safety for good measure.
