A 14-run, fifth inning catapulted the SoHi softball girls past the Kenai Kardinals for a 17-3 Northern Lights Conference victory on Tuesday in Kenai.
The Stars opened with a three-run, first inning. Kenai answered with three runs in the bottom of the first. The game remained scoreless until the fifth when the Stars batted through the lineup twice for 14 runs. Six SoHi girls scored twice each in the victory over Kenai.
