Strive for Five!

One For The Thumb!

However you express it, whatever the slogan, the Soldotna Stars have battled their way to the championship game in Alaska’s Medium School football division and will take the field on Saturday at Palmer High School truly embodying the plaque on the field house wall “All it takes, is all you’ve got”.

The Soldotna Stars face the Palmer Moose in the First National Bowl, Saturday, October 15th at 12:30 p.m. at Palmer High School.  SoHi looks to win a fifth-straight Medium School championship, following a 25-21 semi-final victory over North Pole, and extend the program’s 48-game state record win streak.  Palmer, a 28-26 win over Thunder Mountain in the semi-final round, stands ready for the challenge.  The Moose represent the final obstacle in the SoHi senior players drive to finish four years of high school football without a varsity level loss.  Palmer tagged SoHi with the Stars most recent loss coming in game one of the 2012 season; before the ‘Class 0f 2016’ entered high school.
