Starting pitching is pulling the SoHi baseball team through a mid-season schedule which includes six games in nine days; the Stars recorded a fourth-straight victory in Northern Lights Conference baseball on Thursday with an 11-4 win over Palmer.
Trenton Ohnemus threw a seven-inning, complete game recording 10 strikeouts, including striking out the side in the top of the first inning.
The SoHi offense generated three runs in the first inning and added four runs in the second to build a 7-0 lead. The defense allowed four, unearned runs to the Moose.
SoHi’s scheduled game against Grace Christian is cancelled for Friday, some relief for the Stars pitching staff. SoHi returns to the diamond on Saturday to face Wasilla at 2 p.m. on the SoHi Field.
