The 2017 ASAA State 4A Hockey Championships opened first round play on Thursday at the Menard Arena in Wasilla with a surprising, first round upset of the Dimond Lynx by the Colony Knights.
Three Anchorage, Cook Inlet Conference teams advanced into the winner’s bracket round on Friday.
