State qualifiers and the Psych (heat) Sheets have been released for the 2017 ASAA State Swimming & Diving Championships scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th at the Bartlett High School Pool.
The Soldotna Stars qualify 14 athletes to the championship event, including four males and 10 females. The Stars also qualify in the Girls 200 Medley Relay and the Girls 400 Freestyle Relay.
Individual Girls qualifiers include: Zeina Abouelkheir, 200 Freestyle; Madelyn Barkman, 100 Breaststroke; Portia Portia, 100 Backstroke; Katie Creglow, 100 Breaststroke; Sydney Juliussen, 100 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle
Individual Boys qualifiers include: Ethan Evans, 100 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle; Connor Gross, 500 Freestyle; Kylin Welch, 1M Diving; Sam Skolnick, 1M Diving
Girls 400 Free Relay: Padilla, Portia; Abouelkheir, Zeina; Juliussen, Alex; Juliussen, Sydney Holland, Kennedy; Barkman, Madelyn; Birch, Kortney; Cannava, Ryann

The Kenai Kardinals qualify two relay teams and four male athletes to the state championships.
