The 2017 ASAA Track & Field State Championships, including two separate classifications 1A-2A-3A and 4A, are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 26-27 at Palmer High School.

The 1A-2A-3A State Meet and the 4A State Meet will consist of prelims and finals for each event except for the 1600, 3200, and all relay events.. Field events will be run concurrently. 1A-2A-3A running events will be run prior to the 4A events as scheduled.

State Qualifying Standards and Procedures

1-2-3A State Qualifying

The top finisher from the finals from Regions 2,3,5,6 plus the next 12 statewide best times or distances from finals will qualify for the State Championship. Region 1 will notify ASAA at least 30 days prior if there is an automatic qualifier. If so, then the next 11 statewide best times or distances will be invited to state. The top relay team from the finals from Regions 2,3,5,6 plus the next 4 best statewide best times from finals will qualify for the finals at the State Championship. 4A Individual & Relay Berths: The top finisher from the finals from Regions 3,4,5,6 plus the next 12 statewide best times or distances from finals will qualify for the State Championship. The top relay team from the finals from Regions 3,4,5,6 plus the next 4 best statewide best times from finals will qualify for the finals at the State Championship.
