The Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation continues to work with the contractor, Double A Construction, in order to finish construction on Johnson Lake Campground.
A caller identified as Shawna of Kasilof spoke about the project on KSRM’s Sound-Off.
Shawna: “They left the concrete curbs stuff all in a pile, all the granite rockery is all in a pile, all the brand new fire pits that they ordered, all the brand new picnic tables are all in a pile, it is an absolute wreck.”
Deputy Director of Parks and Outdoor Recreation Claire LeClair said the state intends the work to be done this summer.
LeClair: “The contract that the state has for the work at Johnson Lake specifies for the work to be completed by May 31.”
