The Alaska Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Alaska Road Builders will be working to improve travel on the Sterling Highway between quartz creek milepost 45 and Jims Landing at milepost 58.
Work will include repaving, new striping, new guardrails and improved drainage.
Construction will begin Monday, April 7th.
Expect lane restrictions and delays on the Sterling Highway, at the Kenai Bridge, and Cooper Creek bridge Monday through Saturday from 7:00am to 5:00 pm until approximately April 28th.
The project will be ongoing until the month of August and we will keep you up to date with all traffic delays pertaining to Sterling Highway Construction.
