The Alaska State Troopers on Sunday, October 11th, at approximately 4:00 a.m., received a report of a stolen vehicle identified as a 2018 silver Subaru stolen from Anchor Point.
The vehicle almost struck two Alaska State Troopers that were conducting a DUI investigation near Mile 102.5 of the Sterling Highway, Near Reflection Lake Road.
The driver was reported to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
Soldotna Police Department attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed into Soldotna.
The Soldotna AST K-9 Team responded to the vehicle pursuit.
The driver was identified as T.H, 17 YOA of Anchor Point. Investigation revealed T.H. was driving a stolen vehicle under the influence.
Stop sticks were successfully deployed. The vehicle came to a stop near Mile 74.5 of the Sterling Highway, North of Skilak Lake Road.
Due to being a juvenile T.H. was issued a summons to Kenai Court for DUI and he was remanded to the Kenai Pretrial youth facility on charges of Vehicle Theft, DUI, Eluding 1st, MOCA (Minor Operating after Consuming Alcohol), MCA (Minor Consuming Alcohol).
