The Kenai Peninsula School Board considered the options for hiring someone for the superintendent position during their Monday meetings.
That was Board President Joe Arness who said Interim Superintendent Sean Dusek has already expressed interest in the position.
Dusek has been an Alaskan teacher since 1991 and took over the position after former superintendent Dr. Steve Atwater took a job for the University of Alaska as the K-12 Outreach Associate Vice President.
That superintendent position would become effective in July.
