Alaska State Troopers have released the name of the suspect arrested for the break in and subsequent damages of D & L Construction Office on Tuesday.

25 year-old Kyle Schultz of Soldotna allegedly created over $2,000 worth of damages to the office building according to Troopers.

Co-owner of D&L Dan Smith detailed what happened right sometime before 5:30 Tuesday morning.

Co-owner Dan Smith…

Smith: “Tried to kick the doors in and then he broke the front window out and cut himself up real bad getting in, and then he tore the place up, flipped over the desk and broke the chairs and he sat in the chairs but he’d fallen down a lot and there was blood, a lot of blood all over the walls and ceiling, and then he took the fax machine and threw it out another window and crawled out that instead of using the door.”

After the individual climbed out the second broken window, the blood trail showed they traveled through the construction yard, over a fence, and into a subdivision behind the business.

Due to the amount of blood the individual appeared to have lost, the Troopers contacted the hospital and apprehended Schultz that same day on charges of burglary in the second degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

He was taken to Wildwood Pretrial Facility and arraigned Wednesday morning.
