Swim Programs Mitigation Plans Approved
The Peninsula Piranhas Swim Club and the Soldotna Silver Salmon Swim Team have approved mitigation plans with the KPBSD and have opened training sessions using the Kenai Central High School pool.
Soldotna Silver Salmon Swim Team (information from Soldotna Silver Salmon Team Facebook page)
SSST will start with 12 swimmers. Should everything go well for a few days we (SSST) can increase to 24 swimmers and eventually 36 and so forth.
There are two 50-minute time slots available Monday thru Friday; 10-10:50 am and 11-11:50 am with 6 swimmers per time slot. (12 per day) Starting on Friday, July 3, registration opened to 12 swimmers of the Gold and Silver groups. As numbers increase they will be opening registration again to other groups with a capacity limit as set by the School Board and approximately what is stated above. More information available by contacting Ana Monyahan ([email protected], 907-394-2357). There are certain rules that are in place to allow the swimmers in the pool. There are covid waivers for every swimmer to sign and bring to the pool for record keeping. If we don’t have that paperwork, we cannot allow kids to enter the building.
