Bring on the dog teams as the 2018 Tustumena 200 Sled Dog race heads for the hills.
The Tustumena 200 Sled Dog Race, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, January 27 & 28, with a relocated start/finish area and restructured course, is ready for the 2018 T-200 event.
According to Tami Murray, race coordinator, the Tustumena 200 start/finish line will be located at Freddy’s Roadhouse in the Caribou Hills and the race course will travel from the start area to McNeil Canyon Elementary in Homer. The care will feature two, 100 mile loops, with Freddy’s Roadhouse serving as the start, halfway point and finish.
Freddy’s Roadhouse is located out of Ninilchik on Oil Well Road about 16 miles in.
