Attendees to the joint-chamber luncheon in the Kenai Cultural and Visitors Center on Wednesday will hear an update from Tesoro.
The refinery has been operating north of Kenai since 1969 and Kenai Chamber President Johna Beech says the Tesoro Alaska Vice President will give the update tomorrow.
Beech: “Mr. Cameron Hunt will be giving us an update on Tesoro. So please RSVP for that one, again it is the 24th here at the Visitors Center, it is a Joint Luncheon between Kenai and Soldotna Chambers, again you can give us a call for RSVPs or if you want to do our new snazzy online registration you can go on our website, kenaichamber.org, click on the calendar for the events, and register on there.”
Tesoro Alaska has announced last November that they would purchase Flint Hills’ wholesale fuel marketing contracts in Alaska.
Those investments included the Anchorage terminal that has the capacity of about 600,000 barrels, as well as a truck rack and rail loading capacity and the Fairbanks International Airport terminal with storage for 22,500 barrels of jet fuel.
Those interested in the update from Tesoro can RSVP by calling the Kenai or Soldotna Chambers of Commerce.
