Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
That was Beth Ipsen with the Alaska State Troopers who also said law enforcement officials are often in difficult situations.
She also detailed the huge amount of responsibility Troopers have in Alaska.
Ipsen recognized the Troopers’ cooperative efforts with law enforcement accross the state as well.
Some ways to show support are by wearing blue, thanking an officer or trooper if you see one, putting a blue light in your outside porch light, use this logo for your profile photo on social media or sharing a positive story about your experience with law enforcement.
