$60 day-use park decals and $150 boat launch decals are available to purchase for 2021. Alaska State Parks aim to showcase how the decals make potential holiday gifts as they offer easy access to more than 150 park units across Alaska.
They are usable until the end of December 2021.
According to a press release by the Department of Natural Resources, parking decal fees help support park operations and maintenance, representing a major source of revenue for the park system. The decals are available for purchase online, as well as the Seward Chamber of Commerce and a number of retailers in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
For Alaskans struggling to find the perfect gift as the holidays approach this month, Ricky Gease with the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation says that giving the gift of Alaska is a path worth taking: “The day-use decals make a great holiday gift that recipients will enjoy all year long.”
