The Menzies Aviation ramp attendant who was locked inside an in-flight cargo hold earlier this week called 911 for help.
Caller: “Hello I’m stuck in this plane, I called my job but I’m in this plane.”
911 Dispatcher: “You’re where?”
Caller: “I’m inside a plane and I feel like it’s moving in the air, flight 448 can you please tell someone to stop it.”
911 Dispatcher: “Where are you in a plane at?”
Caller: “I’m inside a plane Alaska Airlines flight 448.”
As we previously reported, that was on Monday afternoon after that employee fell asleep in the cargo hold and awoke about 14 minutes into the flight.
He was also banging on the roof of the cargo hold, which was heard by the pilots and some first-class passengers.
Pilots turned that flight from Seattle to Los Angeles around and declared an emergency in order to land quickly.
Once on the ground the ramp attendant appeared uninjured, as the cargo space was pressurized and temperature controlled.
