An Alaskan Airlines flight from Seattle to Los Angeles had to be turned around for an emergency landing today.

ABC’s Alex Stone reports…

Stone: “Just after take-off from Seattle, passengers reported hearing banging and screaming coming from the belly of the plane, it was believed a stow away might’ve been in the wheel well. The captain declared an emergency and returned to Seattle. Upon landing, Alaska Airlines says a ramp agent, the people who handle the bags, was found inside the cargo hold. Alaska Airlines said the ramp worker said he fell asleep in the belly of the plane, when he awoke he was locked in. It is pressurized and temperature controlled, the ramp agent is OK and the airline is working now to figure out how the worker got locked in.”

The ramp agent was an employee of Menzies Aviation.
