On Wednesday there were many reports of the Alaska State Troopers’ tactical response vehicle, or bearcat, being out and about.
Captain Andy Greenstreet said it was not responding to any calls initially.
Greenstreet: “Yesterday we had our special emergency response team training out in the Nikiski area and as part of that training they utilized our tactical response vehicle while in the Nikiski area they had a tip of a suspect in the Nikiski area and so they were called upon to assist in locating that individual.”
He said they were unsuccessful in locating the individual the call was about.
