Troopers Continue Search for Missing Palmer Teen

Alaska State Troopers are continuing their search for 16-year-old David Grunwald of Palmer.

 

Trooper Spokeswoman Megan Peters says she doesn’t know if there cold be a link between Grunwald and the Kenai Peninsula but it doesn’t hurt to spread the word.

Peters: “And everyone knows that people in Alaska are pretty transient in terms of, they can drive some place so they do.”

 

The teenager was reported missing Sunday when he didn’t arrive home after dropping off his girlfriend and a family search of his last known location turned up nothing.

 

At approximately 12:37 am Monday, Alaska State Troopers found Grunwald’s burnt Ford Bronco up a trail in the Mat-Su area.

 

Peters says a search has been conducted in that area but yielded nothing.

Peters: “At this point we’re really just looking for any kind of information regarding what his whereabouts were that night. I mean we know he dropped off his girlfriend but what happened after that, what happened between that time and the time that the vehicle was found burned out.”
