Troopers confirmed earlier the body found at Sports Lake was an apparent suicide.
The body was found on a trail near the lake.
The next of kin has been notified.

After residential reports of Trooper activity near the Sport Lake boat launch, State Troopers have confirmed to be in the area investigating a death.
Capt. Andy Greenstreet with the Soldotna State Troopers said they are “in the area investigating a non-suspicious death”.
He said that the body was found at approximately 10:30 am today, June 10, and was not found in the lake.
Capt. Greenstreet also said more information will likely be released this afternoon.
