Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance Locating Wanted Soldotna Man

Soldotna Alaska State Troopers are need the public’s help. In the early morning hours on Wednesday, August 25th, the Soldotna AST K-9 Team attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Gaswell Road and Gaede Road in Soldotna.

 

The vehicle, a gold 2008 Toyota Corolla, failed to yield after two AST patrol vehicles attempted to stop it for an equipment violation. The driver made an abrupt turn into a narrow driveway before exiting the vehicle.

 

The driver was identified as Dominic E. Allen (43 YOA) of Soldotna. A perimeter was established with the assistance of several AST units as well as Officers from the Kenai Police Department and Officers from the Soldotna Police Department.

 

A K-9 Track met with negative results. Several items of drug paraphernalia were observed in the vehicle in plain view and K-9 Donna indicated on the vehicle for controlled substances. The vehicle was impounded pending a Search Warrant.

 

Allen was operating the vehicle with a suspended operator’s license (and has several prior convictions for DWLS within the last ten years). A request for an arrest warrant for Allen has been submitted with charges of Driving with a Suspended License and Eluding 2nd degree.

 

The public is encouraged to notify Alaska State Troopers or other local Law Enforcement if Allen is seen.
