The Kenai Post 20 Twins American Legion baseball team defeated West Post 1 to close the Twins regular season; now Post 20 will wait to see if they did enough to qualify to the Alaska Legion state baseball tournament.

A 13-run, first inning propelled the Post 20 Twins past West Anchorage 15-0 in a run-rule shortened five inning game at Oilers Park on Thursday.
Six different Twins produced RBI in the first inning; for the game, Simon Grenier recorded three RBI an Jacob Belger, Hunter Williams and Andrew Pieh each produced two RBI. On the mound for the Twins, Atticus Gibson pitched five innings allowing no runs and only three hits with seven strikeouts. The Twins complete the regular season with a pair of home victories and a record of 9-7.
Alaska Legion State Tournament Update
The Twins victory added four points to their season total which now stands at 43 points. With games around the state still scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the Twins will have to wait to see if 43 will qualify them to the Alaska Legion state tournament. As of Thursday, at-large teams included: Bartlett (46), Palmer (43), Kenai (43), Dimond (41) and Wasilla (39). Four team will advance; Kenai and Bartlett have completed their seasons and Palmer, Wasilla and Dimond have conference games remaining this weekend.
