The American Legion Post 20 Twins baseball team recorded an Alaska Legion league victory on Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park defeating Dimond 3-0 in the league contest.
Twins 3 – Dimond 0 League Game
Scoreless through 3 1/2 innings, the Twins scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth and held Dimond scoreless for the game in a 3-0 shut out for Post 20.
Hunter Williams pitched seven, scoreless innings recording five strikeouts and only allowing seven hits.
Atticus Gibson lead the Twins offense with a 2 for 3 day at the plate; the Twins only managed four hits. The Twins defense played error free for the seven inning game.
Dimond 9 – Post 20 Twins 3
In the non-league contest, Dimond recorded a 9-3 victory at Cora Seymour Memorial Park on Saturday.
The Twins tied the games at 2-2 in the third inning with a pair of runs; however, Dimond scored a pair for a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Dimond erupted for five runs in the top of the sixth inning and the Twins added a single run in the seventh. Final Score: Dimond 9, Twins 3.
The game does not count in the Alaska Legion standings.
The Post 20 Twins stand at 3-0 in the American Division of Alaska Legion Baseball.
