A celebration for longtime coach and manager for the Post 20 Twins, Lance Coz, was held at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Saturday before the Twins hosted Eagle River in doubleheader baseball.
Eagle River 9 – Twins 1
Eagle River plated three runs in the first inning on their way to a 9-1 league victory. Eagle River added five runs in the fifth and a run in the seventh. The Twins scored a lone run in the third inning.
Eagle River 12 – Twins 4
Eagle River again jumped-out early in game two with four runs in the second inning and built a 6-0 lead. The Twins answered with four runs in the bottom of the third to close to 6-4 Eagle River. Eagle River closed with six runs in the final four innings for the 12-4 non-league victory.
The Twins face Wasilla on Sunday, July 4th with games scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
