In major league baseball, players hope for a cup of coffee with a big league team.

The Post 20 Twins had coffee and a doughnut at the Alaska American Legion State Baseball Tournament; however, the Twins are eliminated just two days into tournament play.

The Post 20 baseball team, champions in 2016, fell to Dimond Post 21 by a score of 13-9, knocking the Twins from the double-elimination tournament at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.

Dimond 13 – Kenai  9

The Twins fell behind early, scoring a single run in the third inning but trailing 6-1 after three complete innings.  Dimond added a single run in the 5th inning and both teams posted seven runs in the combined 7th and 8th innings.

Logan Smith goes 3 for 3 and Paul Steffensen goes 3 for 5 to lead the Twins.  Logan Smith pitched seven innings and allowed 10 runs (6 earned) on eight hits.
